December 6, 2017 @ 11:40 am - 1:00 pm UTC-8

NACITE welcomes Nadine King, P.Eng., PTOE of WATT Consulting Group to talk about the design and construction of the Pandora two-way cycle track, the City of Victoria’s first two-way protected bike lane. The Pandora cycle track represents a key piece of Victoria’s AAA cycling network planned for the core area.

Nadine’s presentation will cover many of the design considerations associated with the cycle track including transit accommodation, on-street vehicle and bicycle parking, pedestrian safety, no-right-turns-on-red, traffic and bicycle signals, bicycle boxes, and public consultation/property owner concerns. Nadine will also discuss emerging trends related to implementing cycle tracks and speak specifically to the challenges and lessons learned in Victoria.
