ITE Manitoba January Luncheon
January 16 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
The January meeting of the ITE Manitoba Section will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, starting at 12 noon.
Please note that we have a new meeting venue: the Winnipeg Winter Club, at 200 River Avenue.
Parking is provided south of the building, and is accessible from Harkness Avenue and from Bell Avenue (via Donald Street). The main building entrance is on the south side of the building. Our Meeting will take place in the Riverview Room. Our presenter this month is Mark Doucet from the City of Winnipeg Public Works Department. Mark is a transportation engineer with over 15 years of experience in both the public sector and the consulting industry. He is currently the Acting Transportation Facilities Planning Engineer in the Public Works Department for the City of Winnipeg. His responsibilities include management of transportation planning studies, review of detailed facility designs including roadside safety and traffic noise assessment. The presentation will provide an overview of the 2017 Pilot Project “Angled Parking along Bannatyne Ave”. The presentation will include a brief background as to why Bannatyne was selected for the site, it will provide insight to the design rationale and challenges, and it will discuss observations and feedback, both positive and negative, received thus far. Please note that the price of the luncheon is $27.39 for members and friends and $16.68 for students. These prices are increased from 2017 in order to account for Eventbrite fees. Registration and online payment MUST be completed by the end of the day on January 12th, 2018. Registration can be completed here.
Hope to see you there!
