Topic: Hamilton Light Rail Transit (LRT) Project
The Hamilton Light Rail Transit (LRT) project will provide a rapid and reliable service from McMaster University to Queenston. Rapid Transit is more than just moving people from place to place. It is about providing a catalyst for the development of high quality, safe, sustainable and affordable transportation options for citizens, connecting key destination points, stimulating economic development and revitalizing Hamilton. This presentation will look at the selected alignment and technology, early concept designs, and next steps for implementation.
Speaker Bio: Danielle Bury, MCIP, RPP. – Senior Project Manager, LRT Planning
Danielle Bury is a Transportation Planner with a degree in Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo. Danielle worked as the Rapid Transit Planner on all phases of the Region of Waterloo Rapid Transit Project from the Transit Project Assessment Process to early construction. Now Danielle is the Senior Project Manager, LRT Planning for the City of Hamilton LRT Office.
