CITE National Capital Section Luncheon on Highway Safety Manual

On Wednesday, November 1, 2017 we will be receiving a presentation by Craig Lyon on Highway Safety Manual. The goal of the presentation is to provide a quick overview of the Highway Safety Manual, how it  helps the transportation professionals to improve safety, and to illustrate the use of the manual for some common tasks.

CRAIG LYON

Craig Lyon, is a civil engineering with a Master’s degree in transportation engineering and is a Director of Persaud and Lyon Inc. He is a recognized expert in the statistical analysis of safety-related data and is currently a full member of the Transportation Research Board Committee on Safety Data, Analysis and Evaluation. Craig has authored or co-authored 26 papers related to the analysis of safety data which are published in peer-reviewed journals including Accident Analysis and Prevention and the Transportation Research Record.

Craig has been involved in many projects in the traffic safety area.  These projects have been for agencies such as NCHRP, FHWA, Transport Canada, the Transportation Association of Canada, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, and several States and Provinces.
