Edward Soldo, P.Eng., FITE
Edward Soldo is the Director of Roads and Transportation with the City of London. He has with over 22 years of experience in the operations, planning, design and construction of transportation, water and wastewater infrastructure.
Edward has worked in the consulting, educational and municipal sector in various organizations across Ontario. His primary focus has been on transportation mobility through his work in transportation planning, traffic operations, transit, roadway operations, cycling and Complete Streets initiatives. He is currently leading a multidisciplinary corporate team that is managing the Shift Rapid Transit initiative in the City of London.
A graduate from McMaster University in civil engineering, he also has a diploma in Public Administration from Western University and Masters Certificate in Municipal Management from York University. Edward holds a professional engineering license in Ontario.
Edward has served on the CITE District executive since 2013, currently as President. He previously served on the Hamilton Section of CITE executive as the Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President from 2002 to 2010, served as the student liaison for the Mohawk College student chapter and currently a member of the Southwest Ontario section. Other professional service includes involvement with the Municipal Engineers Association in Ontario, Regional Public Works Commissioners of Ontario and the Transportation Association of Canada as the CITE representative on the Chief Engineers Council and on various technical projects and committees.
