Transportation Talk
Redesigned in 2007, Transportation Talk is distributed to over 1,900 CITE members across Canada on a quarterly basis. Three issues are delivered digitally as a PDF, while the summer edition is printed in the traditional format as an Annual Report and mailed via Canada Post.
Every edition of Transportation Talk is posted on the national website as a high-resolution PDF after distribution, with every web and email address programmed as active links.
Part of the redesign included adding some new content to keep Transportation Talk informative and topical:
- Feature Article: this is typically the cover story, written by a CITE member, and specific to an aspect of transportation engineering
- Member Highlight: spotlighting a different CITE member in each issue, a personal approach to learn how they choose to be transportation engineers, and the lives they lead both in and out of their chosen profession.
- Reader’s Choice: feature that generates awareness of transportation-related books for members to consider. Content may include anything from general interest to the highly technical, and everything in between.
