CITE Executive Appoints New District Administrator – Mr. Paul Hill, Toronto, ON 

Paul Hill is a past District Director of District 7 and past District President.  Now as District Administrator, Paul will provide the CITE Executive with assistance in administration, record keeping, managing the scholarship funds and other special projects.  With the growth in membership in CITE in past years, the CITE Board approved the new position at the 2002 meeting in Ottawa. 

CITE Executive Appointment to TAC’s Chief Engineers Council – Mr. Andy Vandertol. P.Eng

CITE Executive Appoints Academic Advisory Committee Chair – Dr. Bruce Hellinga, Waterloo, ON

In light of the importance of education and maintaining links with the academic community, CITE conducted a search for a new Chair of its Academic Advisory Committee.  Dr. Bruce Hellinga, Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo, accepted the position in May 2002 and will serve throughout 2003.  He is also a member of TAC’s Education Coalition. 

Transportation Professional Certification Board (TPCB – Affiliated with ITE International) Appoints new Canadian member to Board – Mr. Dave Richardson, Thornhill, ON

At it’s meeting in Philadelphia, in August 2002, the TPCB (responsible for the PTOE Certification program) appointed a new Canadian member to the Board to replace outgoing member Mr. Dave Kaufman of the City of Toronto.  Dave Richardson has his PTOE certification and will be a member of the Board for the next 3 years.  Dave Kaufman was a member of the Board from the initiation of the program and helped ensure the content of the program was relevant for Canadian members.  There are currently 71 PTOE’s certified in Canada.
