Welcome Everyone!
Let me take a moment to introduce myself, I’m Murray MacLobbie and I am the official Ambassador for Halifax 2011. You’ll see from my photos that my buddy Dwayne and I checked out all the conference highlight locations. I wanted to make sure that everything will be just perfect for your visit here next year. You are coming right? Mark your calendars as I expect to see you here starting May 29th thru June 1st.
Dwayne has arranged the Marriott Harbourfront for your hotel. I met the ladies there and they promise to take excellent care of you. Dwayne also mentioned that there will be a little “spice” in the technical program, but he won’t tell me what he’s planning. Obviously top secret, so you better come and find out for yourself.
In the meantime, I will spend the next several months travelling across Canada stopping in with each Section and Chapter to meet everyone, and also encourage you to visit us next year in Halifax. I will provide you with regular updates on the CITE website, and I have convinced CITE’s Communication Coordinator to handle my travel arrangements from now on (you’ll find out why in my next post). I’ve also asked her to send out updates via email whenever I travel to a new place, so please watch for my visit to your city and stop in to say “hi.” I’d love to meet you!
