Jointly developed by the
Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) and CITE, this
document presents guidelines for the planning, design and
implementation of traffic calming measures. The Guide
focusses on traffic calming measures for local and collector
streets within established urban residential areas and is
primarily oriented towards retrofit situations. Consistency,
liability and safety concerns often expressed by the
transportation engineering community are addressed.
